SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Sacramento police say two people have died and three people are hurt after a New Year's Eve shooting in the Old Sacramento area.
Police spokeswoman Michele Gigante told the Sacramento Bee the shooting took place near the city's K and Second streets at 9:38 p.m. Monday. The area's midnight fireworks celebration has been canceled.
Sacramento police did not immediately return a call from The Associated Press.
