Safe containing thousands of dollars worth of valuables, stolen from Atascadero home

A $5,000 reward is being offered to help police find those responsible for stealing a safe out of a home in Atascadero.

It happened in the five thousand block of Fresno Avenue Wednesday night. Police say the suspects broke into the home and took the safe using a dolly they found in the garage.

The safe contained about $180,000 in gold coins, $10,000 in jewelry, and $8,000 in cash.
