The Salvation Army is spreading joy to many kids along the Central Coast today.
It gave toys to nearly 150 families who stopped by the Salvation Army Toy Shop in San Luis Obispo and close to 100 families in Arroyo Grande this morning.
"I see happy children. I see children who will have gifts this season," said Lt. Henry Gonzalez, Salvation Army Corps Officer.
"It warms my heart actually because there is that sense of we need to have something under the tree and this allows for that," said Lynda Gulliver, shopper at the Toy Shop.
The toys were donated through KSBY's Season of Hope campaign, Toys for Tots and by community members. Today was the last day to pick up toys before Christmas.
