The San Diego man arrested in connection with an officer-involved shooting in Paso Robles is scheduled to be in court Tuesday.
Clifford Albert Scott Jr., 22, was arrested in October of 2012 on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police say he led them on a high-speed car chase that ended in downtown Paso Robles.
Sheriff's deputies say Scott ran off after crashing his car and shot at a CHP officer who followed him.
The CHP officer fired back, and both men were wounded.
Scott pleaded not guilty.
A jury trial is scheduled Tuesday afternoon.
