The San Luis Obispo and Valley Christian Academy girls basketball teams lost semifinal games in the CIF-SS playoffs on Saturday. San Luis Obispo lost at home to top seeded Chaminade, 64-40. VCA lost on the road at Rio Hondo Prep, 49-47 in overtime.
Junior Jessica Judge led the Tigers with 13 points but Chaminade jumped out to a 16 point first quarter lead and never looked back. The Tigers finish 18-11, two seasons after a 1-23 finish.
Valley Christian Academy finishes two wins shy of a CIF championship as well but the Lions might get an at-large berth to the state tournament with a 22-3 record.
