Mission Plaza in San Luis Obispo played host to the annual Pride in the Plaza event Sunday.
The free event was the finale of this year's Pride Week. Organizers said they expected around 3,000-4,000 people to attend, which is a bigger turnout than last year.
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance, or GALA, put on the event, which included live music, face painting, a bounce house and carnival games.
"We want to make this event so it's not just a gay event, but it's an event where our straight allies feel like they can come with their families and their kids," said Sarah Best, who lives in San Luis Obispo. "We have face painting and everything, it's all our gift back to the community."
NOVO Restaurant then hosted an after-party for everyone.
