The San Luis Obispo City Council is preparing for the next two years.

Council members met at the San Luis Obispo Library on Sunday to discuss the upcoming budget. They held a financial plan council goal-setting workshop. Items on the agenda included changes in programs and services, major city goals, and building a permanent skate park at Santa Rosa Park. They also discussed funding to address the homelessness issue.

City officials say the budget is better off than it was two years ago. "this year, we got a balanced budget so we can be a little more generous, if you will, on what we do," said Kathy Smith, Vice Mayor.

Community feedback was compiled before the meeting so the City Council could address major concerns.
