San Luis Obispo County Health Commission recruits new members

The San Luis Obispo County Health Commission is currently recruiting for two consumer representatives.

The commission serves as an advisory body to the County Board of Supervisors and the County Public Health Department on health matters.

It consists of 11 volunteer appointees who are residents of San Luis Obispo County, of which 6 are consumer representatives, 3 are direct providers, and 2 indirect providers.

In addition to attending monthly meetings (the second Monday evening of every month), commissioners serve on committees (Budget, Legislative, Community Education, or Nominating) and should be willing to spend at least ten hours a month doing commission-related work.
