San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's patrol car involved in collision in Los Osos

A San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's patrol car was involved in a crash over the weekend.

It happened around 8:35 p.m. Sunday in Los Osos.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Los Osos resident, Andrew Wallace, was stopped at the intersection of Nipomo Avenue and South Bay Boulevard. He was driving a grey Subaru Forester.

CHP officers say a San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputy was travelling north on South Bay Boulevard when Wallace made a left turn directly in the path of the deputy. The two cars collided in the intersection.

The CHP says there were moderate injuries, but they couldn't confirm who was injured or if anyone was taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
