While many people were out celebrating Saint Patrick's Day on Sunday, others were cleaning up the mess.
The San Luis Obispo Downtown Association hosted a series of clean ups throughout the weekend.
Clean up crews worked early Sunday morning, and they're scheduled to clean up Monday morning as well.
Port-o-potties were placed throughout downtown so people wouldn't urinate in public or go into businesses just to use the restroom.
"We're trying to do the clean up. We're trying to help people be responsible. We did an ad campaign that said 'What Happens on Saint Patty's Day Stays On Your record,' so you know the double fines, the drunk in publics, the DUI's, all of that. Basically, we're just asking people to be mindful and stay responsible," said Andrea Miller of the Downtown Association.
SLO Safe Ride also helped put on the clean up.
