San Luis Obispo High grad named to Team USA coaching staff

GLENDORA, Calif. - San Luis Obispo High School graduate and former Tigers coach Andrew Silva will help coach the USA Women's Youth Water Polo National Team at the upcoming Junior Pan American Championships in Riverside.

Silva is coming from Citrus College in Glendora, Calif., where he is in his second year as head coach of the women's water polo team. Silva started working with the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program as a regional goal keeper coach in 2012.

Silva graduated from San Luis Obispo High in 1996 and then coached both boys and girls varsity water polo from 1999 to 2002.

Silva also was an assistant for the Cuesta College men's water polo team from 2007 to 2012.
