San Luis Obispo Home Show kicks off at Madonna Expo Center

Locals thinking about doing some home renovation projects have some help this weekend.

The San Luis Obispo Home Show is going on at the Madonna Expo Center.

Guests can talk to interior designers, landscapers, roofers, painters, and more.

"It gives you the opportunity to see what businesses can do with a space in front of you. You can find out if you like the person, if you want to work with them. You can see examples of their work and talk to them about their product," said Lani Colhouer, the Event Coordinator.

There are also free seminars on cooking and design.

Guests can even check out Cal Poly Architecture products, as well as the finalists from the Cal Poly Vellum Furniture Design Competition.

"This year, we have a new layout so that the show is actually bigger than it's been before, and we have a lot of exhibitors that have put a lot of time and energy into the event and created really great spaces for you to enjoy," said Colhouer.

The event continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission and parking are free.
