San Luis Obispo Police: DUI driver hits two cars, injures person

San Luis Obispo Police have arrested a man they say hit two cars and injured a person while driving under the influence. It happened in the 100 block of North Tassajara Drive just before midnight Friday. Police received reports of a collision in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found a 2004 Cadillac SUV with damage on the front side. No one was in the car at the time. According to Police, the people in the car had run away from the scene. Police found blood around the car and found a passenger nearby. The passenger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger has since been released. Officers found two parked cars that had been hit during the incident as well. After investigating, Police were able to identify 21-year-old Nicolas Martinez as a suspect. They say he was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for felony DUI causing injuries and felony hit and run. He was booked in the San Luis Obispo County Jail. His bail is set at $100,000.
