It's been a busy summer for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Tri-Counties. They have granted almost half of their 87 scheduled wishes.
Just this weekend, two local kids had their wishes granted.
On Sunday, 17-year-old Zachary Silver from San Luis Obispo had his wish granting party.
Zachary has leukemia. His wish was to travel to Australia.
Zachary's wish was funded by the Chi Omega sorority, which recently raised over $30,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation at their philanthropy event "Chi O Casino." Some members of the sorority were at the wish granting party with a cake and card for Zachary.
In Australia, Zachary and his family will visit the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and get a tour of the zoo.
