Northeast winds will develop across not only the Central Coast but much of southern California from a widespread Santa Ana event. This will produce warm temperatures and dry air which will increase fire risk in some mountain locations.
The warm and locally strong offshore flow will continue into the weekend keeping skies clear. While daytime highs will be warm the overnight lows will be cool, particularly in the valley locations.
We will be very close to wind advisory levels on the Central Coast tonight into Friday morning because offshore winds may be as strong as 35mph.
