The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors has unanimously accepted an $80 million state grant to build a new North County Jail Facility.
The total cost of the jail is estimated to be about $96million.
It will take about five years to complete.
The jail will be located at Black Road and Betteravia Road in Santa Maria.
