Santa Barbara County Sheriff's officials arrested a man they say lead police on a car chase through the Santa Maria area Tuesday afternoon.
Officials say the received reports of a stolen car and a pursuit started near Black and Stowell Roads.
They say the car was driving erratically, and the pursuit ended for safety reasons. They later got a report that the car was a home in the Tanglewood neighborhood.
The California Highway Patrol helicopter and Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies surrounded the home. They say the man was hiding inside a mobile home parked in the back yard. They do not know if the man knew the homeowners, however they do say the man arrested did not live there.
His name has not been released at this time. The Sheriff's Office say the man had prior warrants.
Officials say no one was hurt during the chase.
