The Santa Barbara Foresters won their fourth National Baseball Congress World Series title and second in a row, beating the Seattle Studs 6-2 in the championship game. The Foresters become the first team to win back-to-back titles since since 1994.
The Foresters went 7-1 at the national tournament in Wichita, Kansas. The San Luis Obispo Blues were eliminated early in the NBC World Series. The Blues went 1-2 at the double elimination tournament.
