Santa Barbara man arrested for DUI after short pursuit through Goleta

A suspected drunk driver is in jail after crashing his car in Goleta Monday night.
Sheriff's deputies say they were called to the Fairview Shopping Center at about 5:45p.m. Monday, on report of a suspected DUI driver leaving the parking lot. A deputy in the area saw that suspect drive through a stop sign and decided to pull the man over, but the driver sped away.
The driver, later identified as 52-year-old Todd Bushey, led deputies for nearly four miles through residential neighborhoods at high speeds. The chase ended when Bushey drove his vehicle into a the rear end of an unoccupied vehicle that was parked on Cathedral Oaks Dr., near Carlo Dr.
Bushey suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. He was taken to Goleta Cottage Hospital for treatment. He was later arrested for felony evading, DUI and driving on a suspended license. He is booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on $75,000 bail.
