Santa Barbara Marathon to use part of Hwy 225 this weekend

People driving through Goleta and Santa Barbara this weekend are urged to use extra caution.

The Santa Barbara International Marathon will take place on Sunday, December 6 from 6:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Runners will be traveling on Hollister Avenue near Cathedral Oaks Road and on a portion of State Route 225 (Las Positas Road/Shoreline Drive) to Santa Barbara City College.

Volunteer staff and law enforcement will be in position along the route to make sure all cyclists, drivers, and pedestrians are safe.
