Santa Barbara police arrest a man they say fired a revolver in his home

A Santa Barbara man is behind bars, after police say he fired a revolver inside his house.

Officers were called out to the 100 block of Palisades Drive in Santa Barbara around 5 p.m. Thursday, after neighbors heard gun shots.

When officers arrived, they say 65-year-old Leonard Donohue refused to come out of his house and started yelling for officers to shoot him. Police had to tase him to get him under control.

They then found a revolver in his home and Donohue admitted to firing a couple shots. He was arrested and booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on charges of firing a firearm and resisting arrest. No one was hurt.
