The Santa Barbara Police Department has identified the woman hit and killed by a small SUV Sunday.

Officers say Silvia Rodriguez Diaz, 53 of Gustine, California was walking across East Cabrillo Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when she was struck by a Ford Escape, driven by a 22-year-old man. The man agreed to a breath sample immediately following the collision. He had been drinking, but was under the legal limit and was not arrested.

Officers say Diaz was leaving a wedding reception at the Casa Las Palmas building.
