Santa Barbara police are investigating a stabbing that took place at around 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday.
They say it happened in the 00 block of West Figueroa Street.
Police say a 20-year-old man from Isla Vista suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to his torso and was treated at a hospital and released.
The victim told police he was walking down the street when he was attacked by several people. He fought back and the attackers eventually left.
Police say they have not yet determined if the attack is gang-related.
