Santa Barbara Police have released surveillance photos of Monday morning's armed robbery of a Rabobank branch in the city.
Investigators say the suspect walked into the Rabobank on the 2200 blk. of Bath St. at about 10:00a.m. Monday, armed with a handgun. They say he threatened employees with the gun, ordered them to the floor and then fled out a back door toward Pueblo St. with an unknown amount of cash.
He's described as a white man in his early 20s to early 40s. They say he has short blonde hair and was wearing a black beanie, a dark sweatshirt and tan shorts. He also wore black gloves and carried a large black bag over his shoulder.
The case is being investigated by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Santa Barbara Police Department.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Santa Barbara Police Detective Brian Jensen at 897-2335 or Special Agent Patrick Conley at 310-629-9553.
Investigators told KSBY News Monday morning they're unsure if this robbery has anything to do with another bank robbery that happened in Goleta Friday. In that case, a man described as being young, white and having blonde hair walked into the Los Padres National Bank and claimed to have a gun, but none was seen. That suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash.
