The city of Santa Barbara will decide whether it should conduct a voter survey regarding a possible tax on single-use bags.

The city council will meet Tuesday afternoon to discuss the issue. Last year, the council proposed the survey to see how much voters would be willing to pay for paper and plastic bags.

The survey could cost more than $20,000.
