Santa Barbara police said they found no obvious signs of foul play in the death of a 60-year-old man whose body was found Thursday on Leadbetter Beach.
Sgt. Riley Harwood said police believe the man lived in Santa Barbara County.
A Mesa man found the body Thursday morning and thought it was of a woman in her thirties, according to Sgt. Hardwood. He said the body had been exposed to the elements and that is probably why it may have appeared to be a female.
Authorities found identification on the man but they are not releasing his name until they are able to notify his family.
