A Santa Maria man is recovering after he was knocked off his bicycle by an oncoming pickup truck.

32-year-old Ricco Cline was riding his bike on the northbound sidewalk of Broadway in Santa Maria around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Police officers say when the light turned green for eastbound traffic, Cline rode his bicycle off the sidewalk and continued traveling north.

They say that's when he was struck by a Chevy truck and knocked to the ground.

Officers say Cline suffered only minor to moderate injuries and was taken to Marian Hospital for treatment.

No word if the driver of the truck will face any charges.
