Listen up, kids! The City of Santa Maria needs your help to spread the word about conserving water. This month is Water Awareness Month, and it's also the third annual Water Awareness School Poster Contest.
Third-grade students in the Santa Maria Bonita-School District can submit their most creative poster symbolizing water awareness and why conservation is important to the community.
Prizes include a two-hour Game Movers part and pizza for the winner and 14 friends, two passes to Disneyland and four passes to the Santa Maria Discovery Museum.
Student winners will also have the opportunity to display their posters at City Hall and have them highlighted on the city's website and local government public access Comcast channel 23.
