Santa Maria firefighters work to gain control of a dump truck fire

Santa Maria City firefighters are on scene of a truck fire burning in the middle of Knudsen Way, just east of Western Avenue.

A KSBY News photographer on scene said it appeared a Santa Maria City dump truck driver dumped his load in the street after it caught fire.

Traffic in the area is blocked off while crews work to contain the fire.
