Santa Maria junior high school on lockdown after reports of a man with gun in surrounding areas

Santa Maria Police have placed Fesler Junior High School on lockdown as a precautionary measure after they received a report of a man with a rifle near the campus grounds.

Officers have been dispatched to the campus and surrounding areas to search for the possible suspect.

Police are currently trying to get ahold of the original caller to clarify exactly what was seen.
