Santa Maria man convicted in deadly drive-by shooting

Gang member convicted in drive-by shooting

A jury in San Luis Obispo County on Wednesday found Armando Yepez guilty of homicide in the drive-by shooting that killed Gabriel Salgado, 17, in Oceano in November 2011.

Another teenager was injured in the shooting. Yepez was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101 in Nipomo back in May.

Salgado was a senior at Lopez High School in Arroyo Grande.
