A car accident in Santa Maria sends a Guadalupe man to the hospital.

Reyes Escobedo, 54, was driving west on Stowell just before 1:00 a.m. this morning, when he lost control of his Chevy truck and drove into a parking lot at 1217 South Blosser.

Officials say he then struck a building, which caused his truck to rollover.

There was major damage to both the truck and the building, according to Santa Maria Police.

Escobedo was taken to Marian Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries.
