Santa Maria man taken to hospital after traffic collision

A 22-year-old Santa Maria man is in the hospital with injuries tonight.
Santa Maria Police say Christopher Licoscos was riding his bicycle southbound on the sidewalk of Broadway St. Wednesday afternoon.
A car was trying to make a right turn on to the street when police say Licoscos road into traffic and was hit by the car.
Licoscos fell to the ground and was taken to the hospital for surgery.
