Santa Maria nurses ask for your help preparing for Memory Walk

With more than five million Americans living with Alzheimer's Disease, it is never too early to start preparations for this year's Memory Walk in Santa Maria.

It will be held at Waller Park on Saturday, September 25 starting at 9 a.m.

The Nursecore of Santa Maria is asking for help raising money for the walk.

It is hosting an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast at Applebee's in Santa Maria Saturday, August 21 from 7:30-to-9:30.

Sausage, juice and coffee are included for just $7.

Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research.

Since 1989, it has raised more than $300 million for the cause.
