Santa Maria Police say they arrested a man for attempted murder.

Police say Michael Russ, 36, was arrested after they responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a home on South Lincoln Street on Thursday.

They say Russ had fired a gun. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail for domestic violence, felon

and attempted murder charges.

Police say they also recovered evidence from the scene.
