Santa Maria Police arrest man for D.U.I after rollover crash

Santa Maria police tell us a man is in jail for driving under the influence.
Around 1:45 Thanksgiving morning, police say the driver of a Jeep lost control on Skyway Drive and crashed into the curb.
The S.U.V. flipped over. Police say the driver was able to get out of the car on his own, but a passenger had to be taken out by fire officials.
The driver, Eddie Ramones Vea, Jr., was taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and later arrested for DUI by SMPD.
Police tell us the passenger is at Cottage Hospital with major injuries and listed in critical condition.
