Santa Maria Police Department honors outstanding employees

Santa Maria police honored a few of their own at the 15th Annual Awards Luncheon held Wednesday. The awards celebrate outstanding service by men and women from the department.
The following awards were given out at the luncheon:
Distinguished Citizen Award - Dan Sampson, Terminal Manager of Estes Express Lines
Mark Riddering Award - Officer Nathan Totorica
Lifesaving Awards - Corporal Michael Huffman, Officer Bryan Golston & Officer Nathan Totorica
Support Employee of the Year - Lynn Alvarez
Dispatcher of the Year - Senior Dispatcher Laura Brannon
Supervisor of the Year - Sergeant Jack Dunn III
Officer of the Year - Corporal Paul Van Meel
