Santa Maria Police investigating drive-by shooting

Santa Maria Police say they're investigating a shooting Wednesday night.

Police tell us someone who had been shot arrived in a private car to Marian Medical Center. While they didn't tell police a lot of information, the victim did tell police they had been walking in the 600 block of West Cypress. The victim says a white 4-door Acura pulled up next to them a passenger in the car shot.

Police say the victim is expected to be okay.

They are asking the public for information on this shooting.
