Santa Maria Police are looking for an armed robber who they say held up El Milagro convenience store Monday night.
Police say a photo of the robber is the only lead they have right now.
They say he got away before they arrived at the scene on Benwiley Ave.
Police searched the area, but couldn't find him.
Police are hoping the public can identify the man in the above picture.
Investigators say he walked up to the cashier's counter at El Milagro market, showed a handgun, and demanded money.
The clerk gave him some cash, and he ran away.
This robbery comes several months after a string of robberies in Santa Maria.
The first happened December 22nd at Jersey mike's subs on Bradley road.
There was another at the battle's mini mart on McClelland St. six days later.
On January 5th, the el ranchero liquor store was held up.
Then on January 31st, seven starts convenience store on South Blosser was robbed.
Police Sergeant Paul Van Meel says there's no evidence at this point linking those robberies to the one on Monday night.
Francisca Fernandez has lived in the neighborhood of El Milagro market for more than 10 years.
She says there used to be more crime in the area, but recently it's been calm.
"Ten years ago, many times, accidents or burglaries or disturbances for this street," said Fernandez.
Fernandez also says many people park on the street after dark, and it's a lot of people for a clerk to keep track of, especially at a small market like El Milagro.
"The night it's all the street, it's cars, cars, cars, cars for all the street," said Fernandez.
The robber is described as a Hispanic man with light colored skin, about 5-foot-6 with a thin build.
He had a moustache and goatee.
He was wearing a dark colored ball cap and a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.
Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call the Santa Maria Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-800-9100.
