Santa Maria police make arrest for burglary

A Santa Maria man is facing burglary charges.

Police say they spotted a man running from the back of a business in the 2400 block of Professional Parkway just before 7:30 AM on Saturday.

They say they later found 43-year-old Willie Holguin hiding in a room at the Town and Country Motel and found evidence there linking him to the break-in.

Holguin was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on $1,100,000 bail.

He faces a street gang enhancement in addition to the burglary charge.
