Santa Maria police searching for man

The Santa Maria Police Department have blocked 6 blocks near the corner of Battles Road and Thornburg Street in Santa Maria.
Police say there were looking for a man who violated his probation and could possibly have a gun.
Residents are asked to stay inside and avoid that area of Santa Maria while Police conduct the search.
