Dozens of students were the stars of the stage in Santa Maria Monday night. The Santa Maria-Bonita School District kicked off its Annual Fine Arts Festival.

Students from five district schools showed off their singing and dancing talents. The Elementary Honor Band also performed.

Organizers say the show is a thrill for the students as well as the audience. "They really love being a part of it. It really makes me thrilled to watch them having so much fun. That's what it's all about, giving them a place to express their art feelings," said Fine Arts Festival Chairperson Linda Sharpe.

The festival continues Tuesday night. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the First Christian Church on College Drive. Admission is free.
