Santa Maria to consider use of E-Verify

The Santa Maria City Council will soon be discussing the possibility of mandating the use of E-Verify. It's a federal program designed to help employers determine whether prospective employees are legally entitled to work in the United States.

It's a system some say has pros and cons. Hear more about this issue from Santa Maria City Council member Alice Patino tonight on KSBY News.
