Santa Ynez Valley hotel receives green award

The Santa Ynez Valley Marriott will be presented with a "Green Business Santa Barbara County" certification on November 18.
According to a press release, the Marriott is the first hotel in Santa Barbara County to complete the Green Business Program requirements.
The hotel's general manager said the staff looked at all aspects of the property's operation for ways to improve efficiency and minimize impacts on the environment.
The certificate presentation will happen at the hotel at 11 a.m. on Nov. 18.
