According to the California Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old woman from Santa Ynez was killed in a single vehicle rollover Saturday night in Buellton. It happened just after 7 p.m. on Ballard Canyon Road, just north of Chalk Hill Road. Officials say a 16-year-old boy from Solvang was driving a Toyota Tacome pick-up on the northbound side of Ballard Canyon Road. Three people were inside the truck, and three others were riding in the open bed of the truck. The driver lost control of the truck, and it overturned. All three passengers in the bed were thrown from the truck. One was killed. The other passengers were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries. Officials are still working to find out what caused the truck to roll. According to reports, the driver of the truck was arrested. He has not been identified because he is a minor. Officials haven't released the identity of the woman killed in the accident.
