Santiago wins Bulgarian championship in first season as pro

Santa Maria native Kristina Santiago scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the Bulgarian League championship game to help her team win the title for a fourth straight year. It was Santiago's first season as a pro after winning her second Big West Player of the year award and helping Cal Poly win the 2012 Big West regular season championship.

Santiago's team, Dunavki won the championship game in front of a sold-out crowd in the teams city of Ruse.

Santiago's teammate and roommate, Amanda Johnson was named Most Valuable Player of the championship game after a 25 point, 7 rebound performance. Johnson is also from the United States, she played at the University of Oregon.
