Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties are two of the healthiest of the 58 counties in California.
Santa Barbara County improved from 19th healthiest to 14th healthiest.
That's according to countyhealthrankings.org.
Adult smoking stayed the same as last year with 11 percent of adults smoking.
20 percent of adults are considered obese.
18 percent of people drink in excess.
High school graduation improved to 86 percent, up five points from last year.
The un-employment rate dropped to 8.8 percent, which is down a total of 0.6 percent.
San Luis Obispo fared a little better, it was named the 11th healthiest county.
Two percent of adults are smoking less than last year, 22 percent of adults are considered obese and 20 percent of adults drink in excess.
There was a six percentage point increase for high school grads up to 92 percent and the unemployment rate dropped nearly a percentage point, to 9.3.
