Santa Barbara County Supervisor Joni Gray is proposing a more permanent way to honor Clarence Minetti's contributions to the Central Coast.
Gray plans to ask the County Board of Supervisors to rename the road to Guadalupe Beach and the Visitor's Center after Minetti. She says it is a fitting tribute for a man who helped make cities like Santa Maria, Guadalupe and Orcutt what they are today.
"Because he was a man that was, and I'm going to go ahead and use that one, bigger than life, we need to do something that is a symbol of Clarence Minetti," said Gray.
She plans to suggest the idea during the board's next meeting on Tuesday.
