Santa Barbara County firefighters are mopping up two spot fires that sparked along Highway 101, south of Mariposa Reina.

A department spokesman says crews were called out to the highway just after 7:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found two fires that were about 1/8 of an acre in size. The fires sparked between the highway and the train tracks, so trains were temporarily stopped in the area.

The cause of the fires is under investigation.
