The Santa Barbara Police Department held a press conference Wednesday summarizing the results of Operation Falling Dawn.
Operation Falling Dawn is the department's ongoing gang violence suppression effort. According to the department, officers arrested 68 people between July of 2012 and November of 2013. 62 of those people were adults, and six were juveniles.
In total, police say they've charged those people with 322 offenses, which averages to about 4.7 per offender. 195 of those offenses were felonies, 118 were misdemeanors, and nine were infractions.
During the same time frame, police seized $72,169 in drug sales proceeds, 12 firearms, 8.5 ounces of heroin, two pounds and one ounce of methamphetamine, 13.5 ounces of cocaine, five ounces of marijuana, and multiple marijuana plants.
